A series of hypothetical editorial illustrations (1 main, 1 banner, 1 spot) for Hyperallergic Magazine’s Article The Beauty and Horror of Medusa; An Enduring Symbol of Women’s Power by Allison Meier. I wanted to portray Medusa in an active role; actively challenging her audience in contrast to her typical portrayal as a weak maiden or decapitated. I worked with a color scheme that was reminiscent of greek pottery.
